Ownsurance Goods In Transit Claims Procedure and Documentation

 

  • The claim to be notified to Ownsurance within 48 hours.

Required Documentation

  1. Original commercial invoice reflecting the terms of the sale.
  2. Packing list of goods carried (if available).
  3. Road waybill/Stocks transfer note.
  4. Copy of the vehicle's valid COF (roadworthy certificate).
  5. Copy of the vehicle's registration papers.
  6. Copy of the vehicle's lisence disc.
  7. Copy of vehicle's and trailers operating card.
  8. Copy of the driver's valid drivers license.
  9. Copy of the driver's valid ID document.
  10. Copy of the driver's Valid PDP.
  11. SAP reference no and Police Station where the accident was reported.
  12. Copy of the sworn affidavit from the driver of how the accident happened.
  13. Full details of the other parties involved ie: name, telephone no, address, registration no of his/her vehicle.
  14. Salvage prospects.
  15. Priced claim.
  16. Written instructions to insure the load from Cargo Owners to the Transporters.
  17. Any other documentation that might be relevant to the claim.
  18. Completed claimform.
